ATTACHED - BY DR. AMIR LEVINE AND RACHEL S.F. HELLER, M.A

First published in 2010 and updated in 2019 this book gives a wonderful insight into understanding different attachment types in adult relationships. The book is easy to read, informative and uses quizzes and case studies to help recognise your own attachment type, as well as cleverly unpicking why you are attracted to particular attachment styles, even though it may cause anxiety and de-stress. This book can help improve your existing relationships. This would be an extremely useful read whilst working with your therapist to understand how your attachment was formed in your childhood, as this isn't something the book does.

I have recommend this book to many. This has been some of the feedback.

‘I can finally see why I behave the way I do in relationships.’

‘They don't make you feel any shame for the category you fall into. Rather, they help you understand yourself and guide you in the direction you would like to go.’

‘It also made me aware of the reasons why friends & family stay with the people that they do even if they know the relationship doesn’t serve them.’
